Whitefish Brewery Amazing Whitefish...
The remarkable town of Whitefish in the northwest corner of Montana began in the late 1800's as a fur trading center. Then in the early 1900's, railroad workers cut the first trees for the Whitefish town site, hence the name "Stumptown". Whitefish later flourished with both the logging industry and the Great Northern Railway, and today it enjoys all the best qualities of a quaint alpine village retaining much of the charm and charisma of its early days. Whitefish, Montana is also the home of The Great Northern Brewing Co. and Black Star Beer.
